Poppy Day

Remembrance Day is observed on 11th November to recall the official end of World War 1 on that date in 1918.  Poppy Day is observed in Commonwealth countries to remember the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and civilians in times of war, specifically since the First World War.

A short ceremony was held in front of the War Monument in Independence Square, Victoria as part of the Remembrance Day activities in Gozo.  Our school was represented by Year 3 and Year 6.2 students.
