Our school is taking part in the project European Christmas Tree Decoration Exchange. This project consists of sending information about our Christmas traditions to 30 different schools in Europe. These traditions consist of decorations made from recycled materials, Maltese Christmas recipes, Christmas events like Purċissjoni tal-Bambin on Christmas Eve, describing how ġulbiena is made and narrating the biggest event for Christmas in our village Betlehem f’Għajnsielem. The years chosen to take part are Years 5 and 6 who will create the decorations, make the ġulbiena and narrate how they spend Christmas Day at home.
All this information must be posted by the 20th of November to arrive in time for Christmas in the other countries and by the 6th of December, we will be receiving from the other 30 countries. Photos of the packages received will be shared on this blog.
